Construction of an Evaluation Index System for the Level of Digital Rural Development and Empirical Research
Abstract：Digital technology has profoundly transformed the social and economic structure, and the construction of digital rural areas has become an important engine for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization. Taking Hengyang City as the research object, this study constructs an evaluation system for the level of digital rural development, including the level of information infrastructure construction, the living standards of farmers, and the level of digital agricultural construction. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to conduct an empirical analysis of the level of digital rural development in Hengyang City. The results show that the overall level of digital rural development in Hengyang City is good, but there are regional development differences; the application of digital technology has a significant promoting effect on the transformation of agricultural modernization, the popularization of services for farmers' lives, and the integration of urban and rural development. It is recommended to enhance the application of digital agricultural technology to promote the transformation of agricultural modernization, focus on the needs of farmers' lives, improve the inclusiveness of digital services, make up for the shortcomings in digital infrastructure, and build a new ecological system for urban-rural integration to improve the level of digital rural development in Hengyang City.
