Current Situation and Countermeasures for Agricultural Water Conservation Development in the Hexi Corridor
Abstract：The Hexi Corridor is an important agricultural production base in northwest China. Water resource shortage is a key factor restricting agricultural development in this region. To continuously improve water use efficiency and promote high-quality agricultural development to a higher level, this paper analyzes the current situation of agricultural water conservation development in the Hexi Corridor, including the achievements in water conservation, the main water-saving technologies and measures adopted, and discusses the existing problems in aspects such as water conservation awareness, financial investment, technology promotion, and management system. It also puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for these issues. The study shows that there is great potential for agricultural water conservation development in the Hexi Corridor. Through the implementation of a series of water-saving measures, not only can the level of agricultural water conservation be effectively improved, but it can also provide a solid guarantee for the sustainable development of agriculture in the region.
