Research on Agricultural Drought Characteristics and Artificial Rainmaking Measures in Bayannur City
Abstract:To support the development of agriculture in Bayannur City, based on precipitation data and drought disaster statistics from 2005 to 2024, this study mainly adopts the method of statistical sorting to analyze the interannual and seasonal variation characteristics of agricultural drought in the region. The results show that during the study period, the annual precipitation and the frequency of droughts in Bayannur City have shown an increasing trend at a rate of 5.759 mm per 10 years and 0.361 times per 10 years, respectively. Spring drought occurs most frequently, followed by winter drought. Light drought occurs most often, followed by moderate drought, while the frequency of severe drought is relatively low. To alleviate the impact of agricultural drought, Bayannur City urgently needs to take measures such as precise meteorological monitoring and forecasting, scientific planning of operation layout, introduction of efficient operation technologies and equipment, and the establishment of professional artificial rainmaking teams to strengthen artificial rainmaking operations.
