Analysis of the Impact of Climate Change on Garlic Yield in Jinxiang County
Abstract：Using monthly average temperature, precipitation, and sunshine duration data from the basic meteorological observation station in Jinxiang County from 1991 to 2024, this study analyzed the characteristics of climate change in the county using a simple linear regression method, and further analyzed the impact of climate change on garlic yield through correlation analysis. The results show that from 1991 to 2024, the annual, spring, summer, and autumn average temperatures in Jinxiang County showed a significant upward trend, while the winter average temperature showed an extremely insignificant downward trend; the annual precipitation increased, and the trend of sunshine duration was extremely insignificant. There is a significant relationship between the annual, summer, and autumn average temperatures and garlic yield; the relationship between summer precipitation and garlic yield is also significant. Except for winter, the sunshine duration in the annual, spring, summer, and autumn periods shows an insignificant positive correlation with garlic yield.
