Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine Continuity Care Based on Home-Based Rehabilitation Application System in Patients with Acute Cerebral Infarction in Rural Areas
Abstract:Objective: To analyze the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine continuity care based on home-based rehabilitation application system in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) after thrombolytic therapy in rural areas. Methods: A total of 74 ACI patients who underwent thrombolytic surgery in the neurology department of a tertiary hospital in Qidong City from August 2021 to August 2023 and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into an experimental group (n=37) and a control group (n=37) using a random number table method. The experimental group received traditional Chinese medicine continuity care based on the home-based rehabilitation application system, while the control group received conventional health education. The Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA), Stroke Specific Quality of Life Scale (SS-QOL), and compliance scores were compared between the two groups after intervention. Results: After intervention, the experimental group had higher FMA scores at 3 and 6 months after discharge compared to the control group (P < 0.05). The experimental group also had higher SS-QOL scores at 1, 3, and 6 months after discharge compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Additionally, the experimental group had a higher compliance score at 6 months after discharge compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Comprehensive interventions were carried out in aspects such as medication, diet, rehabilitation exercise, and lifestyle, which improved the patients' motor function, quality of life, and compliance. Traditional Chinese medicine continuity care based on the home-based rehabilitation application system provides a new practical method for post-discharge management of ACI patients.
