Application and Research Status of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in Risk Management of Elderly Care
Abstract：This review summarizes the application and research status of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in five aspects: fall risk management, infection risk management, medication risk management, complication risk management, and dementia-related symptom risk management for elderly patients. It is proposed that FMEA can effectively identify potential risk factors in medical and nursing care, which is beneficial for reducing the incidence of risks, aiming to provide references for future research on risk management interventions in elderly care.
