Application of Comprehensive Nursing Based on the WeChat Platform in Postoperative Iodine-131 Therapy for Patients with Thyroid Cancer
Abstract：Objective: To explore the application value of comprehensive nursing based on the WeChat platform in postoperative iodine-131 therapy for patients with thyroid cancer. Methods: A total of 126 patients who received postoperative iodine-131 therapy from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 63 patients in each group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received comprehensive nursing based on the WeChat platform in addition to routine nursing. The negative emotions [Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores], sleep quality [Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scores], quality of life [World Health Organization Quality of Life Assessment Short Form (WHOQOL-BREF) scores], compliance, and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: After intervention, the SDS and SAS scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P < 0.05). After intervention, the sleep quality score of the observation group was lower, and the quality of life score was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.05). After intervention, the compliance and satisfaction scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The application of comprehensive nursing based on the WeChat platform in postoperative iodine-131 therapy for patients with thyroid cancer has good effects, which can improve the negative emotions of patients, promote their active cooperation, and enhance their quality of life and satisfaction.
