Narrative Design and Effect Verification of Scientific Popularization Works on Skin Itching Based on Online Consultation Questions
Abstract:Objective: To explore the role of narrative scientific popularization works in health education for elderly patients with skin itching. Methods: A total of 72 patients with skin itching treated in the dermatology department of the hospital from February to July 2024 were selected as the study subjects. Patients admitted between February and April 2024 (35 cases) were assigned to the control group, while those admitted between May and July 2024 (37 cases) were assigned to the intervention group. The control group received routine skin care education, while the intervention group was educated using narrative scientific popularization works. The skin recovery, skin care ability, and satisfaction with nursing services of the two groups were compared. Results: There were statistically significant differences in skin itching and skin damage scores between the two groups in terms of time, group, and interaction (P < 0.05). The intervention group scored higher than the control group in applying medication, moisturizing, protecting the skin, and total score (P < 0.05). The overall satisfaction score of the intervention group was (51.55 ± 3.69), which was higher than that of the control group (43.40 ± 3.56) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Designing narrative scientific popularization works based on online consultation questions can effectively transmit nursing knowledge, promote skin repair in elderly patients with skin itching, and improve the satisfaction with nursing services.
