Discussion on separation side effect of coal slime water classification cyclone

Abstract：Aiming at the application problems of misplaced particles in underflow and overflow for hydro-cyclone in slime water classification and concentration in coal preparation plant, the paper analyzes influence of several factors on classification effect, including terminal velocity, equal settling ratio and density. It's shown that particle density plays a role in sizing effect, which can be thought of as separation side effect. Finally, some suggestions are proposed to improve classification efficiency.
