The Discussion of Livable Space in the Suburban Residential Area:the Case of Guangzhou Jindi-Lihucheng Planning and Design Project

Abstract：In this paper, we take Guangzhou Jindi-Lihucheng planning and design project as example to investigate the use of developmental design models, spatial sequences, sense of place and open space configurations of large-scale residential areas within the suburban context from the view of urban design. It opens the discussion about the design on the human scale and tries to construct a continuous open space system by urban design, in order to establish a clear and suitable living environment.
