Critical Thinking for the Course of Landscape Planning and Design

Abstract： Critical thinking is one of the basic objectives of higher education. In the teaching of landscape planning and design courses, how to cultivate critical thinking and creative ability is an important issue. This paper introduces how to incorporate critical thinking in site analysis, project strategy and site layout. This study shows that critical thinking has the potential to guide students to produce creative design, but it is stil difficult to be carried out in smal er scale sites.
