摘要:The incidence of oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinomas(OPSCC)is rising rapidly in recent years, while the pathologic mechanisms mediating tumorigenesis are heterogeneous and complex.Indeed, the proportion of OPSCCs mediated by human papillomavirus(HPV)is also increasing, which is named as HPV+OPSCC.In addition,HPV+OPSCCs have distinct biological characteristics, while their intratumoral cell heterogeneity and extratumoral immune microenvironment have guiding significance for clinical treatment decision making and prognosis prediction. In this review,we briefly summarize the overview of HPV and OPSCCs,and discuss the research progress of HPV+OPSCCs in detail.
