摘要: With 20 years of instrumental progress and technical creativity, percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)has become one of the most important treatments for coronary artery disease. As PCI depends either on the mechanical dilatation of the artery or on the ablation of atherosclerotic plaque, and because most procedures are carried out in impaired coronary arteries, including the passage of the guidewire, balloon inflation, and stent implantation,PCI may result in life-threatening complications, such as dissection and perforation. These complications should be treated correctively and promptly. The purpose of this paper was to review the incidence, pathogenesis and management of coronary artery dissection and perforation arising from the use of PCI.
