摘要：INTRODUCTION
Pediatric arterial ischemic stroke (AIS) is relatively uncommon but is an important cause of neurologic diseases in children 1. The inci-dence of pediatric AIS ranges from 1.2 to 8 per 100,000 person-years 2,with a mortality of 4％～8％and morbidity up to 70％ 3. Cardioem-bolic stroke is the most common type and ac-counts for approximately 25％～30％ of cases of AIS 4. Cardioembolic stroke results from many conditions,including arrhythmias,con-genital heart diseases,myocardiopathies,val-vular heart diseases, infective endocarditis, and cardiac procedures. According to the Stroke Data Bank,atrial fibrillation and sick sinus syndrome are both high risk factors for cardio-embolic stroke 5.
