摘要：Background Copper is an essential trace metal element that is involved in regulating a variety of biological processes in the body and is closely related to the physiological and pathological state of the body.Accumulating ev-idences indicate that copper metabolism needs to be maintained at certain homeostatic levels to keep the cardiovas-cular system functioning properly.Both copper deficiency and copper overexposure can lead to the development of cardiovascular disease.The aim of this paper is to review the research progress in mechanism of copper metabolism in cardiovascular diseases.
