摘要:Diabetes mellitus is an important risk factor for coronary atherosclerosis and many patients present extensive coronary stenosis at coronarography. However,in patients with diabetes, endothelial and microvascular dysfunction also participate in chronic and acute myocardial ischemia.Although the majority of diabetic patients with myocardial infarction have angiographic evidence of significant coronary artery disease, they can also experience myocardial infarctions with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA).[1] The mechanisms leading to myocardial necrosis in these cases are heterogeneous and patients often present atypical evolution, making the diagnostic process and the choice of optimal treatment difficult.
