摘要：While the diagnostic and prognostic utility of single photon emission computed to-mography(SPECT)myocardial perfusi-on scan(MPS)has been well established,[1,2]there is a paucity of literature evaluating SPECT MPS in elderly populations.Specifically,it is unclear whether the pro-gnostic value of MPS diminishes as patients get older.We conducted this study to evaluate the role of SPE-CT MPS in risk-stratifying a large sample of elderly pa-tients with or without known coronary artery disease(CAD)and hypothesized that abnormal MPS in patie-nts over 75 years would be associated with a greater risk of all-cause mortality and major adverse cardiac eve-nts.
