摘要:Degenerative calcific aortic valve stenosis (AS)is the most common valvular heart disease in elderly.[1]It is well documented that sy-mptomatic severe AS follows a malignant course le-ading to cardiogenic shock (CS),sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and death.[2]Transcatheter aortic valve implan-tation (TAVI) is an emerging treatment option for th-ese patients with severe symptomatic AS who are eld-erly with high risk for surgical aortic valve replacement (AVR) and also for patients with CS,post cardiac arrest survivors.[3]TAVI was initially only approved for pa-tients who had high risk of surgery and in-operability. However, over the past few years the indications of TAVI have been expanding.[4]There are very few case reports regarding emergency TAVI done in severe AS presenting with SCA. We here by present the challen-ges faced in a patient with severe AS presented with SCA,revived and managed successfully by emergen-cy TAVI.
