摘要：Preamble
Hypertension is one of the most common chronic dis-eases and the primary risk factor for stroke,myocardial infarction and even cardiovascular death.More than half of the elderly population has high blood pressure.El-derly people are a unique group,and strategies for the prevention,diagnosis,evaluation,and treatment of hy-pertension in elderly individuals differ significantly from those in the general population.
