摘要:A 68-years old woman presented with a history of recurrent fever of 38-39° ac-companied by chills and weakness over the past month. Her physical examination was un-remarkable except for an audible 3/6 ejection mur-mur at the 2nd right intercostal space. Her vital signs were normal with no fever at presentation.Laborat-ory tests showed elevated white blood count of 11,800 cells/mm3 with a remarkable neutrophilia and elev-ated C-reactive protein of 14 mg/dL.Blood glucose, renal and liver function tests were all normal.
