摘要:It is estimated that approximately one in ten people over the age of 80 may suffer from cardiac amylo-idosis(CA),a disease in which various aging-re-lated factors, such as increased oxidative stress, can pro-mote abnormal protein folding and the formation of amyloid deposits in the heart.Over the long term, this tends to impair cardiac function, increasing the risk of developing cardiac conduction disorders, atrial fibrilla-tion,thromboembolic events, heart failure(HF),and/or ventricular dysfunction.[1,2]
