摘要：Vocal cord paralysis that presents as hoarse-ness due to an underlying cardiovascular pa-thology is a rare clinical entity known as Ort-ner's syndrome(OS).The syndrome was first described in 1897 by Norbert Ortner in a report of three patients wi-th severe mitral stenosis.
