摘要:Atrial fibrillation(AF)is the most common arrh-ythmia in clinical setting and has been increas-ingly prevalent due to the aging population.AF is associated with a three to fivefold increased risk of stro-ke.Treatment options include pharmacological and electri-cal cardioversion, each carrying specific risks.AF may reso-lve spontaneously, but often recurs, making a"watch-and-wait"strategy a reasonable approach to avoid unnecessa-ry antiarrhythmic therapy.Additionally, research has sho-wn that hypomagnesemia and hypokalemia contribute to AF development. Thus, potassium and magnesium supple-mentation may be a rational strategy to enhance spontane-ous sinus rhythm conversion rates.
