Regulation of Oncogenesis and Stem Cell Properties by NF-κB and Wnt Signaling

摘要： The major interests of my laboratory are to understand the signaling cascades of Wnt and NF-κB pathways and to explore their roles in oncogenesis and cancer therapy. Abnormal activation of Wnt signaling pathway has been found to be associated with a variety of human cancers. Although significant progress has been made in understanding the downstream signaling cascade of Wnt signaling, little is known regarding Wnt signaling modification of the cell death machinery. Recently, we have found that Wnt signaling inhibited cancer therapy-mediated apoptosis by activating β-catenin/Tcf-mediated transcription.
