摘要： To question and discuss the diagnostic terminology, chondromalacia patellae. After consulting and reviewing the related literatures, it is proposed that chondromalacia patellae is just a process of early pathological changes of knee osteoarthritis, which should not be taken as the name of a separate disease. For such patients, knee osteoarthritis was the correct diagnosis, and the same treatment principle as that for knee osteoarthritis should be followed.
