从临床治疗角度理解2013版 WHO 骨与软组织肿瘤新分类

摘要：The new edition of WHO classification of tumors of soft tissue and bone had been formally published in 2013, which relfected the consensus of 159 experts from 24 countries and districts. The authors compared the changes in this book with the old edition ( 2002 ) and summarized its influence to clinical managements from the view of an orthopedic oncologist. In general, the concept of intermediate tumor was re-proposed in classiifcation of tumors of bone, and was subdivided into two groups, locally aggressive and rarely metastasizing. Some tumors were subjected from benign tumors to intermediate tumors and the behavior was coded / 1 for borderline or uncertain behavior. The most important modiifcation was that grade I chondrosarcoma was not considered as malignant tumor and can be treated as intermediate tumor. Malignant fibrohistocytoma was renamed as undifferentiated high-grade pleomorphic sarcoma which is the most important glossological change. As to the soft tissue aspect, the classiifcation was more complicated than that of bone and changes were made in various tumors, but its influence to clinical management was limited. The surgeons’ better understanding of up to date classiifcation of bone and soft tissue tumors would greatly beneift patients with these tumors.
