摘要：As a signiifcant cause of operation failure and reoperation, surgical site infection ( SSI ) is a severe complication of spinal surgery, and also an important reason of revision surgery after spinal instrumentation surgery. It not only puts great physical, mental and economic burden on the patients, but also brings huge pressure to the surgeons. It is particularly challenging in spinal instrumentation revision operation, with difficult procedures and high risks. Therefore, it is very important to summarize the causes of SSI and to seek for prevention and treatment strategies. Based on a summary of the reports in recent years, the risk factors or causes, prevention strategies and treatment methods of SSI are summarized in this paper.
