摘要：Osteoarthritis ( OA ) is a common disease in orthopaedics. It is a frequently-occurring disease with gradually destroyed articular cartilage, osteophyte formation, subchondral bone sclerosis and structural imbalance of the surrounding tissues like synovium. It can cause physical disability and functional loss. Along with the aging process of China’s population, the incidence of OA is increasing year by year. Therefore, OA is a serious social and medical problem. Chinese and foreign literature on the pathogenesis and treatment of osteoarthritis is summarized in the paper for reference.
