摘要：Adolescent idiopathic scoliosis ( AIS ) is the most common disease which leads to spinal deformity in teenagers. It really has bad effects on adolescents’ physical and mental health. With the research progress on health-related quality of life ( HRQL ), greater focus has been given to the quality of life ( QL ) of the patients with AIS and their perception of deformity instead of the improvement of the degree of surgical correction. The studies from different countries have demonstrated good reliability and validity of various questionnaires to evaluate the HRQL of the patients with AIS, but for the Chinese there are problems such as translation and cross-cultural adaptation. Meanwhile, for clinicians, when facing patients, how to choose a suitable questionnaire is what should be considered. Based on previous studies on questionnaires and scales for AIS, this article provides an outlook of the methods of evaluating HRQL of the patients with AIS. Comparing different questionnaires and scales for AIS, the authors hope to provide some suggestions for the clinical work.
