摘要:Objective To summarize the effects and complications of bone morphogenetic protein-2 ( BMP-2 ) used in lumbar fusion surgery.Methods CNKI, Embase and Pubmed databases were searched for articles on BMP-2 application by a computer with key words "BMP-2", "lumbar fusion", "complications" and "bone healing". Eligible articles published during the recent 10 years were enrolled.Results Bone morphogenetic protein could promote the rate of bone fusion and shorten integration time, and there were potential applications in the field to promote bone fusion, but studies had shown that using BMP-2 in lumbar fusion process can also lead to adverse results and complications.Conclusions Although BMP-2 can substitute for autologous bone and allograft transplantation, reduce the damage and immune rejection in other parts of the body, but the surgical method and its quantity of application and postoperative adverse outcomes require further studies .
