摘要:Objective In order to provide a better way to increase the quality of tissue-engineered cartilage, the effects of integrin on the dedifferentiation of chondrocyte were reviewed.Methods By searching PubMed and CBM, we reviewed published papers on integrin and chondrocyte dedifferentiation and analyzed the effects of integrin. Results ( 1 ) Integrin is a transmembrane glycoprotein on the surface of chondrocyte, belonging to the family of cell adhesion molecules. As the surface receptor of chondrocyte, it plays an important role in the interaction between the cell and extracellular matrix ( ECM ). ( 2 ) Integrin, which can be combined with a variety of signaling protein in the ECM, will transmit the stimulus signals to the cytoskeletal ( CSK ) and cytosolic proteins. Additionally, it can regulate the function of chondrocyte and affect the dedifferentiation through multiple pathways. ( 3 ) As a bridge between CSK and ECM, there are a number of critical junctions in the integrin which ensure normal operation of the signal of ECM-Integrin-CSK. ( 4 ) Because of the structural characteristics, a unified system of ECM and the intracellular protein are linked by integrin, which can be used to mediate the stimulation and regulate the function of chondrocyte.Conclusions Chondrocyte dedifferentition is closely related to integrin, which can affect cell viability, cell adhesion and cell phenotype. Due to the transmition of ECM, it can regulate the chondrocyte dedifferentiation process through specific singling pathway.
