摘要：Medial collateral ligament ( MCL ) sprain of the knee joint is one of the most common ligamentous knee injuries, often associating with not only concomitant ligament and meniscus, but even sometimes posteriormedial corner. Regardless of MCL injuries, concurrent ligamentous injuries can undermine the reliability of grading these injuries by qualitative measures. So the degree and type of injuries are the determining factors for the choice of treatment method. Orthopedic surgeons should be familiar with the outcomes of nonoperative and operative treatments of isolated and combined MCL injuries. Proper diagnosis of classification and pattern of MCL injuries is necessary for the choice of operative therapy. In recent years, many new surgical therapies have got satisfied achievement clinically.
