摘要：Total knee arthroplasty always associates with extensive postoperative blood loss, and tranexamic acid is a synthetic antifibrinolyticagent, which has shown efficacy and safety in reducing blood loss when administered intravenously and topically. There are increasing reports on tranexamic acid in total knee arthroplasty, but the timing of using, optimal dosage of administration, and possible complications remain controversial. The aim of this revive is to discuss the latest progress, potential problems and orientation of future research of tranexamic acid in total knee arthroplasty.
