摘要：China is aging rapidly, Chinese orthopaedists have to face and pay more attention to the geriatric fracture. Nowadays, active surgery and early rehabilitation have reached a consensus. The prophylaxis of the perioperative complications and the optimization of the comorbidities are some of the key factors determining the prognosis. Venous thromboembolism ( VTE ) is a common perioperative complication of the hip surgery, therefore one guideline has already been published by Chinese Orthopedic Association. However, a more detailed and specialized one is needed. Some common methods of VTE prophylaxis are summarized, and some controversies need to be researched are listed.
