摘要:The incidence of patellar fracture has been increasing annually,with many cases involving the damage to the articular surface.Surgical treatment remains the primary approach to manage these fractures.Currently,the main surgical fixation materials used in China include Kirschner wires,hollow screws,and patellar claws.The widely-applied tension band materials primarily consist of steel wires and titanium cables,which are known for the high hardness and reliable fixation.However,various complications caused by these materials,such as soft tissue irritation,cannot be ignored.To address this issue,scholars have achieved favorable clinical outcomes by utilizing non-absorbable sutures in the fixation of patellar fractures.This article provides an overview of the clinical status of non-absorbable sutures in the treatment of patellar fractures.
