摘要：Objective To introduce a rare case of the flexor carpi radialis(FCR)muscle variation and review relevant literature.Methods A patient with tendon variant was observed during surgery for distal radius fracture.Further traction of the tendon variant was used to induce wrist movement and explore the distal end.One month after surgery,the patient underwent a follow-up examination to confirm the origin,morphology,and course of two mutated tendons using ultrasound.Results Through the courses of the two variant tendons,the lengths of their muscle bellies,and postoperative ultrasound examinations,the flexor carpi radialis(FCR)was confirmed.Conclusions This FCR variant is different from previously reported variants such as FCR collateral tendon and FCRB,which has not been reported domestically or internationally.Clinicians should pay attention to this variation during surgery and do not mistake the relatively centered FCR for the palmar longus tendon.In addition,for FCR transposition surgery,patients with dual FCR can use one FCR while retaining one FCR to reduce its impact on wrist flexion strength.
