摘要：Syndrome stood for disease name and symptom in the ancient medical literature prior to the Tang Dynasty.With the development of pathogenesis theory,the meaning pathogenesis of syndrome came into being and the term differentiation of syndromes came into existence in the Song,Jin and Yuan Dynasties,hence differentiation of syndromes gradually became a diagnostics term of differentiating pathogenesis.
