Variation of Negative Ion Concentration on Baiyun Mountain and Its Relationship with Meteorological Factors
Abstract:In order to evaluate air quality, protect human health, and guide the construction of a healthy environment, based on the data from the negative ion detector at Baiyun Mountain from January 1, 2023, to December 19, 2023, this study analyzed the characteristics of negative ion concentration changes and their relationship with meteorological factors using correlation analysis methods. The results showed that Baiyun Mountain has a rich concentration of negative ions, with the highest annual average concentration of 2,784 cm-3 in the Mingshunchu Pugu valley. The concentration of negative ions is highest in summer, with a monthly average of 3,108 cm-3 in Mingshunchu Pugu valley; it is lowest in winter, with a monthly average of 1,049 cm-3 in Mingzhu Tower Heli Shulin. The concentration of negative ions is higher during the day, reaching up to 3,911 cm-3 at 11:00 in summer; it is relatively lower at night, with a concentration of 999 cm-3 at 22:00 in winter. Negative ions are positively correlated with relative humidity. Under certain temperatures, negative ions are positively correlated with temperature, but show a negative correlation when the temperature exceeds a certain threshold.
