Control Window Period and Efficacy of 32.5% Benzovindiflupyr + Pyraclostrobin SC against Rice Sheath Blight
Abstract:To clarify the optimal application window period and control effect of benzovindiflupyr + pyraclostrobin for rice sheath blight, and to improve the green and efficient control level of rice sheath blight, a field experiment was conducted in a family farm rice production base. The experiment set different application periods and doses (30 mL/667m2, 40 mL/667m2) at key nodes such as before the initial disease occurrence period of early rice, the rapid spread period, the rapid spread period of single-season rice, and the peak disease period. A non-pesticide control area was used as the control. The results showed that the disease spread model of rice sheath blight during the initial disease occurrence period (late May to early June for early rice, early August for single-season rice) was time-series linear growth. The pesticide control effect showed that the application window period was the key factor affecting efficacy, with the priority order of nodes being: before the initial disease occurrence period > rapid spread period > peak disease period. At a dose of 40 mL/667m2, applying the pesticide once before the initial disease occurrence period achieved a control effect of over 90%, which was significantly better than other periods. This study confirmed that applying 32.5% benzovindiflupyr + pyraclostrobin suspension can achieve efficient control with a single application before the onset of sheath blight, providing key technical parameters for 'prevention before disease' and precise reduction of pesticide use in rice sheath blight.
