Technology for Factory Farming of Macrobrachium rosenbergii
Abstract:Macrobrachium rosenbergii is native to Southeast Asia and is a tropical species, with an optimal water temperature for growth of 25–32°C. The annual average temperature in Motuo County, Tibet is 18–22°C, and there is a factory-based recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) in place, providing the basic conditions for constant-temperature farming in a low-temperature environment. However, problems such as low dissolved oxygen content (average ≤5 mg/L) and insufficient water hardness (total hardness <60 mg/L) in high-altitude areas make it difficult to replicate traditional farming models. In recent years, scholars at home and abroad have made progress in the field of factory-based recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), but research on plateau environments remains blank. This study combines the actual situation in Motuo, systematically integrating facility engineering, biological control, and intelligent control technologies, overcoming environmental constraints, and promoting the development of regional characteristic aquatic product industries.
