Abstract：This paper introduced the geology of Dishuiyan coalmine area, rock combination of coal-bearing strata and coal seam and coal quality characteristics overview, the statistics and analysis of each workable coal seam of the coalmine area were done as well, combining with the common pyrite occurrence status of this area, sedimentary environment was discussed, it was also indicated that when the coal was forming, this area was located in moss - land environment like delta and lagoon which were related to the sea.
