Concept and application of commercial coal nominal top size

Abstract：This paper demonstrated the concept of commercial coal nominal top size, through summarizing the application of nominal top particle size in sampling work, the relationship between nominal top size and aspects such as sampling plan, minimum sample weight, opening size of sampling tools and fractures splitting process were discussed, the effect of nominal top size on sampling accuracy was analyzed, it was indicated that nominal top size could decide the minimum weight of gross sample and subsample and opening size of sampling tools.
