Discussion on the desiccation check method for the moisture determination of coke

Abstract：In order to shorten the duration of coke moisture determination, total moisture and air dry basis moisture measurement of cokes prepared using dry coke quenching and wet coke quenching method were done.Comparing results with and without desiccation check, it showed that there was no significant difference between two methods which were interchangeable.So the desiccation check was not required in determination of the total moisture and air dry basis moisture for the coke production.
