A review on coal quality study in the past 6 0 years

Abstract：The main progress and achievements oncoal quality study of CCRI in the past 60 years since its establishment were reviewed.The long-term exploration of “Chinese Coal Classification”, establishment of “Compilation of China Coal Quality”,“The Data Bank of Chinese Coal Rank Source” and “Chinese Coal Classification” was introduced. The standards of new classification indicatorsincluding caking index and light transmittance of low rank coal weredescribed as well.The verification work on coal brand, optimization of steam coal blending, the distribution and evaluation of trace elements were expound finally.
