Discussion on the application of infrared instrument for measuring sulfur in solid biofuels

Abstract：This paper generally introduced the prospects of solid biomass fuel, combining with principles of 5E-IRSII infrared instrument for measuring sulfur, the precision and accuracy of infrared instrument for measuring total sulfur for solid biomass fuel were discussed, meanwhile, the total sulfur results obtained through high temperature combustion infrared absorption method was compared with the coulometric titration method, it was indicated that using infrared method to determine the total sulfur of solid biomass fuel had advantages like good repeatability and good convenience to use.
