Clinical Effect of Yishen Huashi Granule Combined with Calcitriol in the Treatment of Patients with Diabetic Nephropathy

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of Yishen Huashi Granule combined with calcitriol in the treatment of patients with diabetic nephropathy. Methods: A total of 86 patients with diabetic nephropathy who were treated at Zhengzhou Yihuo Hospital from August 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was treated with calcitriol, while the observation group received Yishen Huashi Granule in addition to calcitriol. The clinical efficacy, renal function indicators, lipid profile, inflammatory factor levels, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group (97.67%) was higher than that of the control group (83.72%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), beta-2 microglobulin (β2-MG), creatinine (Cr), cystatin C (Cys-C), and urinary albumin excretion rate in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, while the total cholesterol (TC) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels were lower, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the serum C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Yishen Huashi Granule combined with calcitriol can significantly improve the clinical efficacy, enhance renal function and lipid profile, and reduce inflammatory factor levels in patients with diabetic nephropathy.
