Clinical Observation on the Efficacy of Fufang Sanren Decoction Combined with Intense Pulsed Light in Treating Post-Acne Pigmentation of Phlegm-Damp and Stasis Syndrome
Abstract：Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of Fufang Sanren Decoction combined with intense pulsed light in treating post-acne pigmentation of phlegm-damp and stasis syndrome. Methods: A total of 63 patients with post-acne pigmentation of phlegm-damp and stasis syndrome who visited the Department of Dermatology at Jun'an Hospital, Affiliated to Shunde Hospital, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected and randomly divided into a control group (31 cases) and an observation group (32 cases). The control group received intense pulsed light treatment, while the observation group received Fufang Sanren Decoction treatment in addition to the control group's treatment. The pigmentation condition, clinical efficacy, and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the scores for the degree and area of pigmentation in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group (78.13%) was higher than that of the control group (51.61%) (P < 0.05). During a 3-month follow-up, the recurrence rate of the observation group (4.00%) was lower than that of the control group (25.00%) (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Fufang Sanren Decoction combined with intense pulsed light has good therapeutic effects on post-acne pigmentation of phlegm-damp and stasis syndrome, which can effectively improve the pigmentation condition and reduce the recurrence rate.
