Effect and Safety Analysis of Poxue Zhuyu Decoction Combined with Butylphthalide in the Treatment of Hypertensive Cerebral Hemorrhage Patients

Abstract：Objective: To investigate the effect and safety of Poxue Zhuyu Decoction combined with butylphthalide in the treatment of patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. Methods: A total of 90 patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage admitted to Ningling County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and their clinical data were collected and analyzed. According to different treatment methods, 42 patients who received butylphthalide therapy were assigned to the control group, and 48 patients who received Poxue Zhuyu Decoction combined with butylphthalide therapy were assigned to the observation group. The clinical efficacy, neurological function [myelin basic protein (MBP), glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), neuron-specific enolase (NSE)], biochemical indicators [silent information regulator 1 (SIRT1), granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP)], and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group (97.92%) was higher than that of the control group (83.33%), with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After 10 days of treatment, the serum levels of MBP, GFAP, and NSE in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After 10 days of treatment, the serum levels of CGRP, GM-CSF, and SIRT1 in the observation group were also lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: Poxue Zhuyu Decoction combined with butylphthalide can improve the clinical treatment effect in patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage, reduce brain nerve damage, improve biochemical indicators, and has high safety.
