Clinical Observation of Xuebijing Injection Combined with Prone Position Ventilation in the Treatment of Severe Pneumonia Patients
Abstract:Objective: To observe and analyze the clinical efficacy of Xuebijing injection combined with prone position ventilation in the treatment of patients with severe pneumonia. Methods: Forty patients with severe pneumonia who received prone position ventilation plus conventional treatment at Zhengzhou Third People's Hospital from January 2022 to May 2024 were selected as the control group. According to the 1:1 matching principle, 40 patients with severe pneumonia who received prone position ventilation plus conventional treatment and Xuebijing injection during the same period were selected as the observation group. The clinical efficacy, clinical indicators, disease-related scores, blood gas analysis indicators, and serum-related factors of the two groups were compared. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.00%, which was higher than 72.50% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). After treatment, the fever clearance time, white blood cell return to normal time, and lung lesion absorption time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). After treatment, the Muarry pulmonary injury score, Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE) score, and Clinical Pulmonary Infection Score (CPIS) of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). After treatment, the arterial carbon dioxide pressure (PaCO2) of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, while the arterial oxygen saturation (SaO2) and oxygenation index (PaO2/FiO2) were higher, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of procalcitonin (PCT) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Xuebijing injection combined with prone position ventilation has a significant effect in treating severe pneumonia, which helps to alleviate pulmonary injury and the degree of infection.
