Effect of Ginkgo Biloba Extract Injection Combined with Butylphthalide on Hemorheology, Serum VS-2, and sICAM-1 Levels in Patients with Acute Cerebral Infarction
Abstract:Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of butylphthalide combined with ginkgo biloba extract injection on patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI), and to analyze its effects on hemorheology, serum vascular inhibitory factor-2 (VS-2), and soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) levels. Methods: A total of 128 ACI patients admitted to Zhengzhou Renji Hospital from June 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects and randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 64 cases in each group. The control group received butylphthalide treatment, while the observation group received ginkgo biloba extract injection combined with butylphthalide treatment. The neurological function, daily living ability, hemorheological indicators, serum VS-2 and sICAM-1 levels, neurological function-related indicators, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the NIHSS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the MBI score was higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of fibrinogen (FIB), whole blood low shear viscosity (WBLSV), whole blood high shear viscosity (WBHSV), and plasma viscosity (PV) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the serum VS-2 level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, while the sICAM-1 level was lower, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). After treatment, the levels of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and neuron-specific enolase (NSE) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, while the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) level was higher, with statistically significant differences (P < 0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: The combination of ginkgo biloba extract injection and butylphthalide is effective in treating ACI, significantly improving hemorheology, regulating serum VS-2 and sICAM-1 levels, promoting neurological function repair and improvement in daily living ability, without increasing adverse reactions.
